Help make a difference
St. Timothy Lutheran Church offers help in many different ways in our community of Tarpon Springs as well as throughout the world. Our partnership with the ELCA Global Missions is an integral part of who we are as a church family.
Whether it's volunteering your time, contributing resources, or spreading awareness, each project represents an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others and the world around us. Explore our current needs below and join us as we work together to bring about meaningful change and uplift those in need. Your participation and generosity are invaluable in helping us achieve our mission and fulfill our commitment to serving others with love and compassion.

Sarah's Tent provides meals to the food challenged population in our area. In addition to food, we have a small supply of clothing, shoes, jackets and undergarments for those in need. Meals are served every Thursday from 10:30-11:30 am.
If you have experience cooking for a large group and would like to volunteer on Thursdays to cook, we need you! Please contact the office at 727-937-3505.
In addition, Sarah's Tent welcomes the following donations:
- Lightly used men's T-shirts
- Lightly used men's jeans
- Men's Jackets
- Men's sweatshirts
- Men's belts
- Men's underwear
- Men's tennis shoes
- Deodorant
Items can be dropped off at the church Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
LOVE Quilts
The quilting group makes quilts throughout the year to be distributed by Lutheran World Relief in areas of the world with the greatest need. In 2023, Lutheran World Relief distributed almost 600,000 quilts, school kits and health kits. The LOVE Quilts group meets on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00-3:00. We cut fabric, sew and assemble the quilts in a space dedicated to this ministry. The LOVE Quilt group is looking for the following items:
- Gently used double size (or larger) blankets
- Cotton fabric (no polyester)
- Cotton sheets
- Thread
If you are not able to join us on Tuesdays but have an interest in sewing or cutting fabric from home, please contact Lisa Hartge at the church and we will make arrangements to get materials to you.
