From welcoming newborns into the fold to celebrating unions in marriage, honoring loved ones in times of loss, and guiding the faithful through sacraments, we recognize the beauty in every life passage. Join us in reflecting on these poignant moments and discover the spiritual depth and community bonds that characterize each passage at St. Timothy.
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." - Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 (ESV)
Baptism
Pursuing baptism is a significant and joyous step in one's spiritual journey. Baptism is more than a ritual; it is a sacred covenant, a symbolic expression of faith, and an outward declaration of one's commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Here we welcome individuals seeking baptism with open hearts and a supportive community. It is a profound moment of initiation into the family of believers, and we take great care in guiding individuals through this meaningful sacrament. Whether you are a newcomer exploring the Christian faith or a seasoned believer ready to publicly affirm your commitment for the first time, pursuing baptism at our church is an invitation to join a community that celebrates the transformative power of God's grace and the journey of faith. We look forward to walking alongside you as you take this significant step in your spiritual life. We celebrate this joyful sacrament for both children and adults throughout the year during our regular Sunday worship service. We try to schedule baptisms at least some months in advance so that the parents of the children and adults being baptized can meet for instruction with the pastor. Please contact the office or our pastor to explore this area further.
Marriage
Embarking on the journey of marriage is a sacred and joyous occasion, and we consider it an honor to be part of this significant chapter in your life. Our church embraces the sanctity of marriage as a covenant grounded in love, commitment, and shared faith. At St. Timothy we believe that a strong foundation in faith is fundamental to a thriving marriage, and we are committed to fostering an environment where couples can not only celebrate their love but also deepen their spiritual connection. Let us be a witness to your journey of love, and may your marriage be blessed with the enduring grace and joy that comes from a commitment rooted in faith. Weddings should be scheduled at least three months in advance to allow time for pre-marital counseling with our pastor. Please contact our office for more information regarding scheduling and fees. Our church prays for you and your spouse and this new chapter in your lives.
Funerals and Memorial Services
We understand that bidding farewell to a loved one is a deeply profound and emotional journey. Our church is committed to providing solace and support during these times of grief through compassionate funeral and memorial services. Pastor Curt and dedicated individuals work closely with grieving families to create meaningful and personalized services that reflect the unique essence of each individual. Through scripture, prayers, reflections on the eternal promise of Christ, and shared memories, we seek to provide a comforting space where family and friends can find solace, support, and a sense of closure. At St. Timothy, we extend our heartfelt condolences and offer our church as a sanctuary of compassion during these tender moments of remembrance and farewell.
First Communion
First Communion class is a special and meaningful journey for our young members as they take their initial steps in understanding and participating in the sacrament of Holy Communion. This class is designed to provide a comprehensive and age-appropriate exploration of the significance of the Eucharist in our faith. Led by our dedicated clergy and educators, the First Communion class combines engaging lessons, interactive activities, and spiritual guidance to deepen the understanding of the profound mystery of the Lord's Supper. As young participants learn about the symbols, traditions, and biblical foundations of communion, they also have the opportunity to ask questions and express their growing faith. It is our joy and privilege to guide these young souls on their spiritual journey, fostering a sense of reverence and anticipation as they prepare to partake in this sacred sacrament for the first time.
Confirmation Class
Our two-year Confirmation class is a transformative journey for our members as they delve into a deeper understanding of their faith and commitment to Christ. This comprehensive program is designed to nurture spiritual growth, biblical knowledge, and a personal relationship with God. Over two years, participants engage in in-depth study of scripture, explore the tenets of Lutheran theology, and actively participate in discussions that encourage thoughtful reflections on their faith journey. The Confirmation Class is both educational and communal, fostering a sense of fellowship among peers and mentors. Through prayer, study, service, and worship, we aim to equip our young members with a firm foundation for a lifelong walk of faith. While typically middle school-aged students are confirmed, we have confirmands from 12 to 85!
