Pray without ceasing
Prayer Groups
Prayer goes beyond routine; it's a profound connection with God, echoing Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanks/giving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This scripture emphasizes prayer's significance in seeking solace, expressing gratitude, and finding peace through communion with God.
Prayer is the cornerstone of our ministry, building strong individual connections with God and fortifying the collective bond of our community. It serves not only as a means of seeking guidance and solace, but also as a powerful tool for celebrating joys and supporting one another in times of need. The choice to join a prayer group adds depth to this experience, creating a supportive community where individuals can share their spiritual journeys, seek collective wisdom, and amplify the impact of their prayers. Through both collective and individual prayers, we connect with God, finding comfort, guidance, and a profound sense of unity that defines the essence of our spiritual community.
Praying Together
The Prayer Chain!
"The Prayer Chain" is a weekly email connecting individuals within and beyond the congregation through collective prayer. Participants receive a curated list of prayer requests, spanning joys and challenges, creating a shared space for support. The email format allows for convenient participation, encouraging individuals to not only seek support for their own needs but also to actively lift others up in prayer. "The Prayer Chain" stands as a testament to the strength of community, shared faith, and the power of supporting one another through the uplifting act of collective conversation with the divine.

James 5:16 Ministry
The James 5:16 Ministry is a heartwarming community initiative, encouraging us to turn to prayer in times of need. This ministry creates a relational space where individuals share their personal prayer requests, exchanging joys, struggles, and heartfelt desires for divine intervention. Participants not only leave their own concerns but also pick up the prayer requests of others. It's a beautiful exchange of empathy and support that intertwines our stories. The James 5:16 Ministry is a reminder that, as a community, we're interconnected through a shared faith, and our commitment to supporting one another through the power of prayer strengthens the relational fabric that binds us together. You can pick up or drop off a request in the narthex.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
On the first Saturday of every month, the men of the churches in Tarpon Springs get together at 8 am to pray for the community and have breakfast together. Currently the location alternates between St Timothy Lutheran Church and Mt. Moriah AME Church.
Centering Prayer
Come and receive Christ’s presence in silence. Centering prayer’s focus is on the deepening of our relationship with the living Christ. There is a power in sitting in silence and stillness together as a group in Christ’s presence. We invite you to stop by our Zoom Centering Prayer/Lectio Divina Group for a quiet break in your week to sit and receive God’s love in stillness—no experience necessary.
Each week we will follow the same time structure, so feel free to come and go during the time as your schedule allows.
Prayer Partners
In our community, Prayer Partnerships are formed organically. Paired randomly, individuals come together in a shared commitment to support and uplift each other through prayer. The beauty lies in the unexpected ways these partnerships unfold, turning each Prayer Partner pair into a testament of the divine orchestration of our collective journey of faith. Through the power of randomly paired prayers, we discover the strength that comes from our shared vulnerabilities and the profound sense of unity that emerges from these unexpected spiritual bonds.
